Sustainability at WKT

At WKT, we see sustainability as a responsibility – to our team, our customers and the environment.

We aim to shape our production, products and partnerships in a way that contributes to a better future. For this reason, we have set ambitious climate targets to help create a healthier environment in both the short and long term:

• Carbon neutrality in Scope 1 and 2 by 2030
• 70% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2045

To achieve these goals, we invest in state-of-the-art technologies, optimize our processes and focus on long-term partnerships across our entire value chain.

With our transformation project, we are driving the development of sustainable insulation materials. Together with customers, suppliers and research institutions, we are working on innovative materials and processes that combine environmental responsibility with technical performance.

• in new machinery to increase capacity and flexibility,
• in optimizing our internal logistics,
• and in geographical expansion to shorten transport distances and be closer to our customers.

In this way, we lay the foundation for resource-efficient and future-proof production.

Sustainability starts with small actions: Our company premises are home to five bee colonies with around 250,000 bees, which produce our own honey. In doing so, we contribute to biodiversity and the protection of local ecosystems.

We are committed to people and the environment. At WKT, sustainability is not a project with an end date – it is an integral part of our corporate culture and shapes every step we take.
